When we make homemade donuts, we remember the flavors of the kitchen of the grandmother. So, to honor it, today I'll leave you the recipe of delicious chocolate covered anise donuts.
300g flour
175g of chocolate chips
100g of sugar
50ml of olive oil
4 eggs
8g baking powder
1 ½ tablespoons of aniseed grains
Grating of a lemon and an orange
Sunflower oil for frying
Sugar to batter
Step-by-step elaboration
1. To make the chocolate covered anise donuts, the first thing to do is to beat the eggs with orange and lemon zest, sugar, aniseed and olive oil.
2. Add the baking powder and the flour previously sieved little by little and mix to obtain a homogeneous and well-bonded mass, that can get rid of the bowl.
3. Cover with paper foil and allow the dough to stand for 60 minutes.
4. Form the anise donuts with the hands previously anointed with oil.
5. Make buns and make a hole in the center. He opens it and stretches it to the shape of donuts.
6. Place on the work surface greased with oil.
7. Fry the anise donuts in plenty of sunflower oil until golden brown. Spoon them with paper napkins and quickly toast with sugar.
8. When the anise donuts are cold, melt the chocolate in the microwave or water bath and dip in it half of each donut.
