Schedule sending an email in Outlook 2016

These days we have talked about Outlook, the more than popular email client that Microsoft offers us for years, in this way, we have seen the problems that are suffering in the opening of attachments and also in what way we can detect and eliminate duplications, well, today to see one of those configurations that are simple to make and that are highly demanded by users who use this tool, the option to schedule the sending of an email.

Well, to get an email that we have written to leave at a specific date, is much simpler than it may seem, since the Outlook email client offers us this possibility natively and also in a very simple and fast way.

To achieve this option, we only have to do the following:

Open a new empty email, which we will send later.
Click on Options, from the horizontal top menu.
Click on Delayed delivery
Set the date and time we want
Click on send the mail when we have it ready
Ready, the mail will remain in the output tray until the date and time indicated.

Depending on the type of mail service we are using, we can close or not our application, for example, if we use an Exchange server we could close our Outlook client and the delivery will be done in the same way, but we could not close it if we use POP , for example, in any case, the recommendation would be not to close Outlook to make sure that there is no problem and that everything is sent in date and time, or at least to test the operation of the scheduled shipment with both open and closed Outlook, before having to make use of this truth function.

As you can see, making use of this function does not have any complexity, since knowing where we have to click on and configuring a simple assistant, we will have managed to schedule the sending of an email in Outlook 2016, something very useful for certain situations, and an option very demanded by the users.
